here are a few ideas regarding the 24hr surveillance project that was put forth by Neil a few days ago. sprung from our brains while propping up the bar in java one Monday evening, we hope they Will get your creative juices flowing
- 24hr CCTV is inescapable- is it really for our own protection? hidden in lights, signs etc
- who's watching the screens? who's watching the watchers of the screens? who's watching the watchers of the watchers? where does it end??
- do people now have 'safety paranoia'?- are people being turned against each other
- is there enough security in the streets and towns, in your own homes? are the papers telling stories to scaremonger?
- constant fear of terrorism
- celebrity culture- people throwing themselves in the firing line- big brother
- all emails, text and phone calls can be traced and read
- neighbourhood watch. are your neighbouring curtains twitching??
